What this video subtitle remover does
It takes a video with burned-in text — hardcoded subtitles, captions, text overlays — and removes it online, in the browser: the AI detects every text region frame by frame and rebuilds the background behind it. No blur patch over the caption, no cropping the bottom of the picture, no watermark on the result. What comes back is the same video at the same resolution, minus the text. Upload MP4, MOV or WebM up to 500 MB and 180 seconds.
Detection is language-agnostic — the AI reads the shape of text, not the alphabet — so English captions, Chinese subtitles and mixed overlays all come off in one pass. That makes it the first step for anyone reusing footage: re-dubbing a clip for another market, reposting without the old channel's captions, or clearing a frame before new titles go on. Billing is per second of source video, so a minute of footage costs about 240 credits.
The clean video carries straight on into the rest of the site: keep working on it in the AI Video Editor, or use it as the base of something new in the AI Video Generator.
